What is a kiwi
A kiwi is a New Zealand native bird but does not fly. They sleep in the day and come out and hunt for food at night.
Habitat
they are only found in new Zealand shrublands and grasslands.
Diet
woodlice, millipedes, centipedes, slugs, snails, spiders, insects, seeds, berries, and plant material.
Reproduction
females lay their first eggs at 3-5 years of age.
Special features
They use their beak to find food. They have tiny wings but can not fly. They have no tail feathers but whiskers to help them find food. The kiwi is a powerful runner, fighter, and swimmer. They can run 12 miles per hour.
