Sunshine reading

Hola!

This is the sunshine reading I did. I used Screen Casetify for the first time. I read A Pet to the Vet. It was about lots of animals that came to the vet. At the end, all of the animals got into a fight.
Enjoy!

My Cake

This blog is about how I made my cake.

Last week Mrs. Templeton said we had to make something of Jacinda Ardern our Prime Minister
so I made a chocolate cake of her face. First I made the cake mix for the head.  It is my family recipe Then I put it in the oven while it was in there I rolled the fondant out. It took me a while fondant it is kind of like playdough. After I put the fondant on the cake to be the face. My Mum got me some edible markers ages ago and I finally got to use them to draw her eyes and nose and mouth. coloured it in and piped the hair which was made out of chocolate icing and put on a flower crown it was fun!

This is my finished Jacinda Ardern do you think it looks like her? I wrote her a letter too. I hope she sees it one day.

My Artwork

Bon Jour!

This is my drawing of the Christchurch war
memorial. Did you know there are over 500 memorials for
world war one?

This is my Flanders field drawing. I got the idea from lieutenant colonel John Mccrae's poem.

I also made a lantern out of a milk bottle and made poppies out of warehouse bags to remember the people who died on the 25th of April. On Saturday morning me my brother and my mum will stand outside our driveway. We are going to make ANZAC cookies too.

Selam! (means Hi in Turkish)

Here is some facts about ANZAC that I didn't know before today.

Mrs. Duthie posted a story about Torty the Lucky Tortoise. I searched for Torty on youtube.  Mrs. Duthie asked us what we think happened to Torty when he came to New Zealand.
This is what I think.

Covid 19 Journal Writing

MY WRITING JOURNAL

Today I am going to tell you about my journal I keep all the things that I did every day in lockdown. It has my favorite superhero, Black Panther, on it. I have to write in it before I go to bed. I write all the funny things and sad things in there. I even write how silly MJ is. This is my day 5 entry.

The good part is when I go back to school the teacher will say to write what we did in the house for the last four weeks. I will know what to write I think I will do the most pages with lots of detail in it so my teacher can say it's awesome. I could write a book one day. Maybe even be the best writer in the world. When I grow up I would like to be an author. Kids can read my writing from around the world.
I believe if I make it through school and work hard it will come true people might not believe me but I say to my self I can do it.

This is the Tik Toks MJ and I did on day 5 of lockdown. What do you think of my acting skills?

Covid 19 Thursday April 16th

Talofa Lava
This is my lockdown activity book it has the same activities as the one Mrs. Templeton gave us to do today. What's cool about it is my cousin Micahlei made it. It has been sent all over NewZealand and Australia. She is ten years old.

Today I finished the mindfulness colouring. I chose those colours because they are nice and bright.
The patterns remind me of Samoa. The lines look like curvy waves from the beach.
The triangles look like fish swimming in the sea.
